Licensed by the Nevada State Board of Oriental Medicine
Nationally Board Certified in Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM)
2018, Maryland University of Integrative Health
Dr. Tomoe, originally from Japan, relocated to the United States in 2012. Upon moving, she began her studies in Oriental medicine and soon realized that Oriental medicine was already deeply ingrained in her everyday life back in Japan. She recalls how her grandparents regularly visited an acupuncture clinic to alleviate back pain, and how both she and her siblings received treatment for asthma using acupuncture during their childhood. Additionally, her family often turned to Chinese herbal medicine whenever they felt unwell.
Thus, Dr. Tomoe's familiarity with Oriental medicine stems from her upbringing in Japan, where it is an integral part of the culture and healthcare practices. She is passionate about promoting acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine as viable options for people's healthcare needs. She believes in the efficacy and benefits of these traditional healing methods and aims to increase awareness and accessibility to them within her community.
Dr. Tomoe moved to Las Vegas in 2020 and was pleasantly surprised by what she found. While the city is famous for its entertainment, she also appreciated the beauty of the desert landscape. Moreover, she was struck by the friendliness of the local residents. She feels grateful for the opportunity to offer acupuncture and Chinese herbal treatments to the community, considering it a privilege to contribute to their health and well-being.
